Anyone know a suitable way of getting the object name that runs a macro? The Excel equivalant is Application.Caller, but PPT does not seem to recognize this command.

Thanks.

Do you hate GETPIVOTDATA?
Prevent GETPIVOTDATA. Select inside a PivotTable. In the Analyze tab of the ribbon, open the dropown next to Options and turn it off
I should explain a little more...

Basically, when in PowerPoint presentation mode, the user wants to be able to click a button for a particular customer, say GM, and open Excel and filter (Autofilter) for that customer. I thought if the button name was, for example, GM, then I could use Application.Caller to get that name and use that as the criteria...but, no such luck in PPT.
