What exactly does this calculation mode do? Why does is it beneficial to put before code with xlCalculationAutomatic at the end?

Excel Facts

Which lookup functions find a value equal or greater than the lookup value?
MATCH uses -1 to find larger value (lookup table must be sorted ZA). XLOOKUP uses 1 to find values greater and does not need to be sorted.
manual calculation means excel will not re-calculate anything unless you manually do it. xlautomatic mean that excel constantly re-calculates cells as the cells they depend on are changed. So if you set it to manual during a macro excel will not waste time trying to calculate as changes are being made.
