We have a N/w of 3 computers. The Access prog is on one computer and is accessed by the other 2 computers. The Appl. runs well on the comp. on which it is installed. But it is slow on the computer accessing it. What can be done for this?

Excel Facts

What do {} around a formula in the formula bar mean?
{Formula} means the formula was entered using Ctrl+Shift+Enter signifying an old-style array formula.
1. What's a N/w?
2. What's an Access "prog", do you mean a database, access itself or a frontend/backend
4. What's an appl.?

Do all 3 computers have Access installed?

You should split the application in to |Front End and back End, each user should have their own copy of the front end stored locally on their machine. This links to the back end on the network where all data is stored.
