Anyone have experience building dashboards to identify outliers or inaccurate data? Or working with z-scores or optimally weighted z-scores?

I’m currently working on a project for work that involves identifying outliers from data sets. I was going to set up an excel dashboard that highlighted all accounts that had a z-score of above 2. However, within a certain region, you have thousands of different account types and a z-score can be misleading. For example, Company A may be a huge account with tons of revenue and Company B may be a medium sized account with medium size revenue. Company A may seem like it has incorrect data, but this data may be accurate. On the other hand, I can’t assume it is accurate because it is a “larger” company.
Therefore, I’d like to build out a dashboard that takes a z-score on multiple data attributes of an account and created an optimally weighted z-score for a given account. Has anyone had experience working through this type of problem? Has anyone built out a dashboard for this in excel or Tableau? I’d love to hear about anyone’s experience or advice!
