Hi everyone,
Thoughts on 2010? Especially Excel?

My take: works fine for its own creations, but really does a number on 2002/3 files.

Excel Facts

Round to nearest half hour?
Use =MROUND(A2,"0:30") to round to nearest half hour. Use =CEILING(A2,"0:30") to round to next half hour.
I got a notification that I could download and try the beta.

So I thought - good, but then I followed the link and found out I'd need to uninstall my current version to try it.

I don't really want to do that - I had enough problems trying out 2007.

And don't talk to me about Windows 7.

I actually downloaded the RC version of that but when reading the installation instructions they seemed to tell me I had to do a total reinstall.

That would have meant losing all my files and applications.

Now they say I can upgrade from Vista without doing that but I'm still a bit wary.

Rant over, sorry.:)

Amendment: 2010 Beta Mondo was a disaster - decided the option buttons on my worksheet needed to be 22" long!!! - but Beta 2 is actually kind of neat. I still favor file menus over the ribbon, but I can cope with that.

The Beta seems pretty good to me - more stable than the Tech Preview thankfully. I have it installed alongside 2007, so far without problems. Was going to test the 64bit version as I have 64bit Win7, but would have had to uninstall previous versions for that as they are 32 bit and I couldn't be bothered. Might test it in a VM though.
I think the Slicers are still my favourite bit.

I also have it running on my work computer along with 2003. I have enjoyed the beta version, and can't wait to put the slicers into use
