I know accdb is better to be used to get linked data from xlsx.
But for some reason my platform can only use mdb.

Anyone got any experience mdb can also get linked table data from xlsx ?
Help...

Excel Facts

Quick Sum
Select a range of cells. The total appears in bottom right of Excel screen. Right-click total to add Max, Min, Count, Average.
it should be trivial. have you checked the help files, or googled?

Yes I have tried Google and no luck.

I tried in mdb link to xlsx it says this version of access cannot link to this newer xlsx. Seems mdb can link xls (older version of xlsx) only.
Anyone can have a way out in this case ?

It is a surprise if Google didn't find the answer; but maybe you have the answer already directly from the error message.

An old version of Access & new version of Excel? For anyone to be able to advise, best you give some further explanation.
Such as which versions of the software you are using

I also believe that you can't use the new (now old?) xlsx formats with Access 2003 or earlier. mdb is strictly speaking just a file format, but Access 2003 and earlier cannot read or write the new xml-based file formats introduced in Office 2007.
