Hi,

I just wanted to ask if someone knows an alternative possibiliuty to secure the database without using the user-level security wizard?
Instead I want to provide two different access-levels, one for read-only, and one for the general use.

Thanks for your answers,

Philipp

I would recommend using directory level security for this. Or, if you prefer, you can split your database into the client-server architecture, and make two UI's - one with write privilege, and the other with read-only. Distribute the UI's to the appropriate users.
