Altering Embedded Objects in Excel 2016

Good afternoon,

I have created an Excel template that includes an embedded object (PDF) using an icon. Currently, clicking the icon takes me to PDF "A". I would like to copy this template and edit the embedded object/icon so that clicking it takes me to PDF "B", PDF "C", and so on so that I do not have to re-create the embedded object for every one of my 2400+ files. I have tried linking the files instead of embedding them but that won't work as this will be a shared workbook through OneDrive. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to change the source for my icon without completing the process in full each time. I apologize if this is confusing. Thank you for your help.

Excel Facts

Why are there 1,048,576 rows in Excel?
The Excel team increased the size of the grid in 2007. There are 2^20 rows and 2^14 columns for a total of 17 billion cells.
Unless you're inserting the objects with links, you will need to reinsert the object for each file. If you're inserting the objects with links, you could edit the links. Either approach could be implemented programmatically. You might even start off with linked objects, then break the links before uploading to OneDrive.
