Hi. I'm a an excel novice so apologies in advance.

I need to create an allocation tool which distributes work evenly amongst teams.

We receive a different amount of queries to get through everyday so would need to amend the daily allocation.

Each of the teams have different targets which vary on a week to week basis.

Is anyone able to give me any ideas about the best way of producing this?

Thanks

Ed

EDIT:
The daily allocation should take teams as close to 100% of their target as possible.

Excel Facts

Which came first: VisiCalc or Lotus 1-2-3?
Dan Bricklin and Bob Frankston debuted VisiCalc in 1979 as a Visible Calculator. Lotus 1-2-3 debuted in the early 1980's, from Mitch Kapor.
work out how you would do this on a piece of paper

when you have a working system, create an Excel model that does the same thing

if you want help on the Excel side of things, please give details of exactly what needs to be done, what you have done, where you're stuck, etc
some sample data showing the cells helps ENORMOUSLY - so the input cells, the tables, the corresponding results

cheers
