I've seen horizontal bar graphs where the Y axes has age groups and is in the middle of the chart, to one side on the X axes is the female population and to the other is the male population.
The bars are opposite each other.
How is it done?
Here is e.g. data
Female
0 to <5 5 to <15 15 to <25 25 to <45 45 to <65 65 to 120
1,074 2,572 2,099 4,300 3,613 1,983
Male
0 to <5 5 to <15 15 to <25 25 to <45 45 to <65 65 to 120
1,165 2,696 2,069 3,554 3,462 1,745
