After editing "DBF file" in "MS Access" same will work in "DBASE IV application"

Hi,

I have 1 dbf (DBASE IV) file which I open through MS access 2007.

When I open DBF file through MS Access; I can replace whole column in DBF file and close the file (without savining the file). Same file I can open in DBASE IV also (after replacing) . But if edit any row, column of DBF through Access it asking me to save the file, after that said file not open in DBASE IV.

Can anybody having the solution so I can edit DBF file in MS Access and same will be able to open in DBASE IV.

Please do the needful....

It sounds like your ODBC version is changing the format. Be sure you use the correct ODBC driver to attach the db4 file.
