Hi there,

I wondered if anyone could please provide some general advice; I work for a fairly small-ish company and we'd like to get some data on our Intranet site (SharePoint 2010).
As I'd like to increase my own skills I've been looking at SQL Server 14 Express - it's free and the 10Gb database limit seems ok for what we need it for right now. I just have a couple of initial questions I hoped someone could answer:

Is it possible to connect Express to SharePoint and for it to work just as the full version? Or do you need the full SQL Server for this to work?
If it is possible, is there any configuration needed on the SharePoint side of things beforehand?

Just to note that our IT guy is also our SharePoint guy - my knowledge of SharePoint is very limited/none-existent!

Apologies if this is quite a vague post - many thanks for any replies!
