I am putting together a workshop to teach beg-inter excel at work. I have nearly every "mr excel" book and many other excel books (I have been using excel since it came out on the mac.) I learned from reading and doing...

However, my problem is what would be good to teach in a workshop that would last aprox 5-6 hours. It will be hands on and on an internal basis only.

Possibly a handful of chapters from Learn excel from Mr. Excel?

Most folks should be beyond the stage when you say "right click" they do not write "click" :) . However, many will be very "green".

I plan to incorporate how to use excel @ work... using it for real life situations the folks could encounter. I plan to keep the size to aprox 10-15 to start... even though I have a potential audience of 100+ that would attend.

thanks
frank

Hi Frank,

What's wrong with going chapter by chapter? MrExcel on Excel would be a good one for that. Also, Guerilla Data Analysis, I think. If all the students had laptops or workstations they could work through the examples while you go over them. (Course you might have to disable the internet, and Spades/Solitare. ;) )
