I'm a teacher who has to keep track of students progress. Students need to complete 3 modules in any order; i have students who complete modules at different semester. Eg: student A completes module 1 in semester 1, module 2 in semester 2 etc. There are also student who passed or fail the modules. My tracking data is organised by semester, which means that a student's name will appear multiple times when they are doing different modules at different semester.

I need to filter out which student has passed module 1 and 2 but not 3. Is there a way? Thanks for your suggestions!

Excel Facts

Return population for a City
If you have a list of cities in A2:A100, use Data, Geography. Then =A2.Population and copy down.
Hi & Welcome to MrExcel.

Can you post the data along with some manually typed expected results.

MrExcel has a tool called “XL2BB” that lets you post samples of your data that will allow us to copy/paste it to our Excel spreadsheets, so we can work with the same copy of data that you are. Instructions on using this tool can be found here: XL2BB Add-in

Note that there is also a "Test Here” forum on this board. This is a place where you can test using this tool (or any other posting techniques that you want to test) before trying to use those tools in your actual posts.
