I have a list of accounts on one tab in excel (1800) and another tab with 150 accounts I need to remove from the rest of the list. When attempt the advance filter it s not doing the task I need. What am I doing wrong?

Excel Facts

What is the fastest way to copy a formula?
If A2:A50000 contain data. Enter a formula in B2. Select B2. Double-click the Fill Handle and Excel will shoot the formula down to B50000.
We don't know what you are doing so it's kind of hard to know what, if anything, you are doing wrong.:)

I am not sure how I can describe it. I will try:
I select all fields on tab 1 - click advanced filter - the details populate in the advanced field pop-up. I select the data in the second tab of the accounts I want to remove from Tab 1
I would think the details would remove the 100 accounts from the master list.
