Hi All,
I am building a bar chart showing a walk-forward for my company's revenue (Starting point = January revenue and Ending point is forecasted December revenue with the causes of change or variances due to each forecasted sector) (Oten called a 'waterfall' chart). As a result, the starting and ending points are much larger than each of the variances and as you can imagine, the graph looks a bit strange. i have changed the scale to start well above zero, but would like to actually have the x-axis show zero and have a 'break' in the beginning and ending points.
For example, our January revenue was 12m but the largest variance is 0.6m. Graphing this shows the starting point near the top of the graph with the variance sloghtly bringing it down. Therefore, there's a huge unfilled section under each data point. I would like to shrink the starting and ending points so that its filled in better. Any ideas?
Thanks to all of you...this is a great site!
