Adjusting Row and Column Data in a Pivot Chart

I have built my pivot table that has months across the top and the various categories on the left. When I go to create a pivot chart, it is automatically creating the categories on the left x axis and my values in each of the cells as my Y axis. I want the months to be my X and my categories to be plotted. Can you help?

Do I have to rebuild the table or are you referring to the pivot table itself?
