Hello,

I am creating a 90-year proforma for a ground lease residential real estate deal, and I would like to know how to add vertical lines every 12 months in order to better separate the years for when I am presenting the proforma. Since this proforma is dynamic, and dates change when I change input data, I need the vertical lines to appear in the correct spots when I change the date information.

Any clarification on this?

Really appreciate the help.

Is there a shortcut key for strikethrough?
Ctrl+S is used for Save. Ctrl+5 is used for Strikethrough. Why Ctrl+5? When you use hashmarks to count |||| is 4, strike through to mean 5.
Hi.

It would help if we could see what your data looks like, but I'm assuming you have dates or months in either a row or a column.
If that is the case, you could possibly use Conditional Formating to detect a change in year, and apply a border.

For example, if you have full dates, let's say 1st Dec 2016 in cell A1, and 1st Jan 2017 in cell A2, you could use a formula like this in CF . . .

=year(a1)<>year(a2)

and apply a format of a line across the top of the cell, or whatever format you want.
