I have a spreadsheet of products and want a thumbnail of each included. My first method was to use IMAGE and link to pictures on the web. This was easy but bloated the spreadsheet enormously and my boss prefers to have the thumbnails inserted. So I downloaded the images and used pix resizer to convert them all to thumbnails, then inserted them one by one into the spreadsheet. This took most of the day, but reduced the size by 2 orders of magnitude.
Question: Is there an easier and faster way to do this?

Excel Facts

Show numbers in thousands?
Use a custom number format of #,##0,K. Each comma after the final 0 will divide the displayed number by another thousand

Additional information: The thumbnails are not necessarily in the same order as they are required in the spreadsheet. I have the file name in the spreadsheet and ideally a function could read the file name and get the required image file. Unfortunately as I understand it IMAGE only works for images on the web.
