Excel Facts

Using Function Arguments with nested formulas
If writing INDEX in Func. Arguments, type MATCH(. Use the mouse to click inside MATCH in the formula bar. Dialog switches to MATCH.
You have the values in the Date function wrong, it should be year, month,day

Thank you for your reply - I have tried that too but this also brings a zero result?

=SUMIFS(E4:E30,A4:A30,”>=”&DATE(2022,1,1),A4:A30,”<=”&DATE(2022,1,31))

You also have the wrong type of quotes, they should be " not ”

Solution
Hi Fluff

I just noticed If I filter out January in column 'A' it disappears in 'i' & 'J' is there a way to stop that happening?

If you are using the autofilter, then that will hide the entire row.
