Hi,

I was hoping someone could help me. I'm trying to add 2 fields, each one may have a blank field. I've set up an expression that simply adds the two fields. My problem is the expression field only return a value when both fields have values.

Field1 Field2 Net
1 1 2
1 (returns blank)
1 (returns blank)

I want the "Net" to always have value in it not blank. Any idea?

Thanks.

Excel Facts

Which came first: VisiCalc or Lotus 1-2-3?
Dan Bricklin and Bob Frankston debuted VisiCalc in 1979 as a Visible Calculator. Lotus 1-2-3 debuted in the early 1980's, from Mitch Kapor.
Hi, if you are doing this in a query, change your current formula, which I suspect looks something like this :

=[Field1]+[Field2]

to something like this :

=Iif(IsNull([Field1]),0,[Field1])+Iif(IsNull([Field2]),0,[Field2])

HTH, Andrew. :)
