I don't find much by searching on Red X but my Value Field in Pivot Field selectors
has changed to a Big Red X on white background. I can click through it and the fields become visible for a second.
It is like a graphical corruption but with only 22 columns of data seems odd.
The fields are working but it just takes a long time to move things if I need to.
Any idea? And is it possible to make Values area actually expand when you move it instead of it resizing?

How to change case of text in Excel?
Use =UPPER() for upper case, =LOWER() for lower case, and =PROPER() for proper case. PROPER won't capitalize second c in Mccartney
Well it seems a reboot of the pc fixed it.
I had another chart intensive workbook open that sometimes gives me that "not enough resources to display".
Everything seems fine now.
