Hi everyone. Is it possible to insert text into a cell that already has data from a data validation list.
For example- A cell has the text "the information provided is inaccurate" that is selected from a drop down list.
I want add more text to it like "he did not mention the charge" but this is not part of the data validation list an needs to be inserted manually along with the text from the data validation list.
Is this possible? Please help. If possible this will be a great help.

Excel Facts

What is the fastest way to copy a formula?
If A2:A50000 contain data. Enter a formula in B2. Select B2. Double-click the Fill Handle and Excel will shoot the formula down to B50000.
When you create your data validation list, you will see a tab named 'Error Alert'. In that tab, de-select the box beside "Show error alert after invalid data is entered". This will allow you to enter additional text in the cell with the data validation.

Thank you mumps. Great help. This will help me automate an assessment workbook that has been cause for low performance rating due to consistent errors while manual entry. Thanks a lot.:bow::bow:
