Add or subtract depending on "+ or - " symbol in column C

In column A I have an amount (ie Cell A1 £100)
In Column B I have a percentage (ie Cell B1 100%)
In Column C I have + or -
In Column D I would like the result so, for example =A1*(1+B2)
This works fine if I just want a value added, but I want it to take into account whether it is a minus or plus sign in Column C
Any help appreciated

You need an if statement = If(C1="-",A1*(1-B1),A*(1+B1))
