add currency

i copy paste several numbers and i need to use them in a forumlas. I cant add any currency and i can't use it in a formulas, the numbers seemed blocked; how can i fix it

Welcome to the Board!

Sounds like they're text, not numbers.

You can select the range of numbers, then goto Format-->Cells-->Number-->Currency-->Apply the currency type you want. Then goto Data-->Text to Columns-->Finish. That should apply the format to the range, and then you can use them for calcuations.

You can also try to force them. Enter 1 in a cell, copy it, then select the number range and goto Edit-->Paste Special-->Multiply.

You could also post a shot of your data so we can see what you're dealing with.
