C2=numerical value.
D2=Either of 1 or 0

Solution required: I want to 'add' an up arrow in C2 if D2=1 else no arrow to be added.
Using Excel2007

Excel Facts

Last used cell?
Press Ctrl+End to move to what Excel thinks is the last used cell.
you could use a simple if statement and format your target cell with wingdings

=IF(D2=1,"é")

Could not do. Use if statement where....in CF Rules Manager? The value has 'vanished' & a scissor symbol appears.

I had formatted C2 with a background color using CF.
If D2=1, C2 cell should appear 'differently'..the whole idea is this.
My sheet looks like a dashboard.
Using Excel2007. Solution please.

you wanted it in c2, that's where the formula has to be placed. wingdings from win 8 produce the arrow, scissors is part of the same set, just use an appropriate symbol

a version of wingdings has existed for a very long time, run charmap from the run menu and look at the fonts, maybe symbol etc
