Hi All

I have a data set like this:-

[TABLE="class: grid, width: 500"]

[TR]
[TD]Item Category[/TD]
[TD]Item[/TD]
[TD]Sales[/TD]
[/TR]
[TR]
[TD]Shoes[/TD]
[TD]Sports Shoes[/TD]
[TD]100[/TD]
[/TR]
[TR]
[TD][/TD]
[TD]Casual Shoes[/TD]
[TD]200[/TD]
[/TR]
[TR]
[TD]Others[/TD]
[TD]Sandals[/TD]
[TD]300[/TD]
[/TR]
[TR]
[TD][/TD]
[TD]Slippers[/TD]
[TD]400[/TD]
[/TR]

[/TABLE]

I want a row after each unique value in column A along with unique cell value pasted in the new row. Like the below mentioned:-

[TABLE="class: grid, width: 500"]

[TR]
[TD]Item Category[/TD]
[TD]Item[/TD]
[TD]Sales[/TD]
[/TR]
[TR]
[TD]Shoes[/TD]
[TD][/TD]
[TD][/TD]
[/TR]
[TR]
[TD]Shoes[/TD]
[TD]Sports Shoes[/TD]
[TD]100[/TD]
[/TR]
[TR]
[TD][/TD]
[TD]Casual Shoes[/TD]
[TD]200[/TD]
[/TR]
[TR]
[TD]Others[/TD]
[TD][/TD]
[TD][/TD]
[/TR]
[TR]
[TD]Others[/TD]
[TD]Sandals[/TD]
[TD]300[/TD]
[/TR]
[TR]
[TD][/TD]
[TD]Slippers[/TD]
[TD]400[/TD]
[/TR]

[/TABLE]

I want a macro for this. Thanks in advance.

Excel Facts

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.
Code:
Sub insertRowAbove()

    For x = Cells(Rows.Count, 1).End(xlUp).Row To 2 Step -1
        If Cells(x, 1) <> "" Then
            Cells(x, 1).EntireRow.Insert Shift:=xlDown
            Cells(x, 1) = Cells(x + 1, 1)
        End If
    Next x
End Sub
