I am using OWC11 in an excel program I made and every time I go to run the program that implements the OWC controls, i get the pop up message: 'This application is about to initialize ActiveX controls that might be unsafe. If you trust the source of this file, select OK and the controls will be initialized using your current workspace settings.'

However, even if i click 'Cancel' the controls still work perfectly fine. It does not disable the OWC controls.

Please help! Is there something I can do to avoid this annoying message box?

Thanks,
Thomas

Excel Facts

Why does 9 mean SUM in SUBTOTAL?
It is because Sum is the 9th alphabetically in Average, Count, CountA, Max, Min, Product, StDev.S, StDev.P, Sum, VAR.S, VAR.P.
I guess there is no way around the message box without modifying the registry key on your computer? This is not an option since I plan on distributing this program to multiple users. I just do not understand why the controls still work fine even though I hit cancel on the message box.

Is there a way of initializing an owc chartspace without receiving this message?
