ActiveX Combo Box Error - Excel 2016

I've successfully created an ActiveX Combo Box and used ListFillRange to identify the correct range of text to appear in the drop down. The problem I'm running into is when I exit design mode and try to use the combo box, all the options show up in the drop down but no matter which one I select, the box defaults to the top option when I click a cell outside of the box.

I also noticed that when I click on the combo box again, it returns to the prior chosen option, but again defaults to the top choice when clicking on a cell

​Just a bug in Excel. Exited, and opened the workbook again, and it works fine
