Hi guys, while I've been using the site for many years as a guest I've only just joined.

I must say thanks for all that you guys do in helping complete strangers.

Right, down to business.

I have a set of hyperlinks on a masterdata sheet and a "cover sheet" with several vlookups.

how can I activate the hyperlinks based on the vlookup value?

or is there another method of opening a file based on a cell value?

Regards

Paul

The Excel team increased the size of the grid in 2007. There are 2^20 rows and 2^14 columns for a total of 17 billion cells.
Hi - Welcome to the Forum :)

Not sure if I've understood correctly, but sounds like you could just wrap your VLOOKUP in a HYPERLINK;

Code:
=HYPERLINK(VLOOKUP( ~ whatever ~ ))

Is that what you meant?
