Accessing DB2 Using PowerPivot Or PowerQuery

Hi,

How do i access DB2 using PowerPivot or PowerQuery. I have the credential to access the DB2. I am able to access DB2 via toad. I tired both PowerPivot and PowerQuery was unable to access the same.

I tired using a connection string that did not work as well.

Could some tell me how to connect and provide a sample connection string as well so i could access the same.

Hi I tried this.

Provider=MSDASQL.1;Persist Security Info=True;User ID=<uid>;Extended Properties=jdbc:db2://<hostname>:PORT/<database>:user=<uid>;Password=*********

By Creating a connection string.

This the error i get .

Failed to connect to the server. Reason: ERROR [IM002] [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified.

I am able to connect to the server using toad. When i try to connect from PowerPivot i get the above error. Any suggestions what needs to be done.
