Access/Sharepoint linked table oddity

Hi all

I've got a bit of a head-scratcher here.
I've successfully linked a sharepoint list to my Access (2016) database as a linked table.

We're going to use Access as a nicer front-end than the Sharepoint web-page (don't ask).

I've designed a form to do our updates on (and to keep track of all our changes to various other bits and pieces) that need to go to the sharepoint list.

This is the odd part.
When I insert a new record into the Sharepoint list, it inserts all the fields ..... except one.
I can even open the linked table and edit whatever I want ... except for this one field.
When I'm in the actual linked table and I try to edit this particular field, I just get Access "bing"ing at me without any actual error messages so I'm assuming this field has somehow turned read-only (although I can't see anything in the table design to say it's read-only).

The field itself is marked down as "Long text"

Anyone any ideas?

TIA

Richard
