Hi,

I'm having two strange problems in access.

Firstly ODBC Datasources - when opening tables linked to a SQL database my login details to the table are my NT login details - although in the ODBC Datasources its setup to be my SQL login ?! Which is annoying as I fail to login into every ODBC table and have to re input my sql login - any ideas why this is happening or more importantly how to stop this?

Secondly, How do I get the export to text file option - I have added all text converters but to no avail! I can export to RTF but not to a txt file - what add-on do I need ??

 My minds boggled!

Excel Facts

Does the VLOOKUP table have to be sorted?
No! when you are using an exact match, the VLOOKUP table can be in any order. Best-selling items at the top is actually the best.
Assuming that you want to export a Query or table, Right click on it > select export> select to an external file or database> from the dialog box select TextFile > click the Export button and this will bring up the wizard giving you some options on formatting.

HTH

The strange thing is that I don't have the option to export to text file - so I can't run the wizard! I have had a new computer but it is of the same build with service pack as my last and my colleagues! But he has the option and I don't!!

I have selected all options on the install cd - any ideas how I can get this option ??

I sorry but I dont know. I just installed everthing on the disc :)

Might be worth uninstalling and reinstalling?

Is it the same in all databases or just one partucular one?
