Hi all ,

I have 3 access 2000 databases two of which contain the data and the other hold the majority of the queries so not to impeded on the database performance (so i am told) my problem is that i need to run some specific querys in the 2 data databases but want to automate it so they are run when i use the autoexec on the other database. Is there a way to making the access query database open the other queries without having to open all the files?? one bye one

Cheers

Difference between two dates
Secret function! Use =DATEDIF(A2,B2,"Y")&" years"&=DATEDIF(A2,B2,"YM")&" months"&=DATEDIF(A2,B2,"MD")&" days"
The real question is why do you "have" to run the queries from the data databases? what are you trying to do that cannot be done via the linked tables?

The reason that i cannot used linked tables is i belive that you cannot apend the data (i might be wrong) which is what the querys on the database do.

You can use append queries on linked tables OK. at least I do in A97.

You only need two databases and not three - who told you that you needed three.

One should be the backend where only the tables are stored and the other the frontend where everything else is: forms, queries, reports, modules, and - if you must - macros.
