Hi,

i have posted a question in the excel forum here http://www.mrexcel.com/board2/viewtopic.php?t=137235 but now I’m thinking of using access to do the same thing.

to reiterate the above thread, i have 7000 rows of data in excel i have imported in to access database.

i want to use the web page data access page to find my data by part number. So far all I can do is, get the data access page to allow me to type in to the auto number box to change the records being displayed on screen.

what i have is a 4 column layout (Manufacturer, Part Number, Trade Price, Retail Price) what i want to do is use the data access page to allow me to type in to a search box the part number i require and have access bring up the information i require relating to that part number.

i have no idea how to do this and i am a novice with access,

i have created the html data access page with the 4 boxes relating to the 4 column headers. what i need to no is how to add the search box and make that search the part number column for matching data and then return the relevant data to the 4 boxes i have created.

i am probably missing something really simple like a small setting change ( i hope lol)

Thanks for your help
