Need help please!

I created a database that functioned fine 5 or 6 times. I closed the database the last time, and upon reopening, I received the "Access has stopped working" error. I closed and reopened several times with the same issue. I verified that other databases were opening successfully. Issue seems to be with the database and NOT Access in general.
I've researched multiple threads on this forum and others to no avail. I attempted to Decompile as posted in other threads, but the run command does not work. Access opens, but Error returns. I attempted to RENAME the database and open; without success. Same error message.
Is there a way around this issue without reconstructing the database? I can't even get the corrupted database open to export and tables, queries, etc. in order to export and remake the database. Help an intermediate novice! Thanks.

Bring active cell back into view
Start at A1 and select to A9999 while writing a formula, you can't see A1 anymore. Press Ctrl+Backspace to bring active cell into view.

Try this:

Create a brand new blank database. Then go to Import, select Access database, browse to this other database that is giving you problems, and import all your objects from that database to your new database.
You may have better luck doing that than trying to open the database and export from it.

Before you do anything else to the file be sure to make a backup of it.

I agree that importing all the objects into a new database is a good solutions. I actually do it every 4 weeks when working on a database daily.

TIP: During development, make a backup of the database before opening it. I exit out nad mnake a backup after major changes to an object and/or every hour.

Before you do anything else to the file be sure to make a backup of it.

You could also true using command lines switches to compact and repair the database after you do a backup.

What version of Access are you runnng, include SP level and bits.?
