After encountering an Excel problem, I examined the Access database from which Excel gets its information. If I click on the grey button at the left hand side of the screen, it highlights the whole line normally but on one of my records there is a break that is not highlighted. this covers one whole cell and parts of two others. How can I fix it?
Many thanks, Brian Hutchings

How can you automate Excel?
Press Alt+F11 from Windows Excel to open the Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) editor.
You could try to repair the database using >Tools>Database Utillities>Repair Database. to see if that fixes it.
You may be able to delete the whole record and type it in again.

Thanks for the reply Peter. I have tried the repair function but there is a problem in that the program is in more or less constant use on a network with many users and I was hoping that there was some other way
