I am trying to create a simple database with a field that will contain IP Addresses (i.e. 127.0.0.1) but it won't let me. How do I go about this?

TIA,
Troy

What do you mean it won't let you?

What field type are you trying to use?

Are you trying to use number?

It was a number field. I switched the Decimal places to 0 and it works now. It won't let me enter a default value of 0.0.0.0 it comes back as an invalid number, so I have to leave that blank.

Thanks anyways, sorry for the wasted post.

You shouldn't use a number field it should be text.

An IP address is not a number it's a set of numbers seperated by ".".
