Access - Auto-populate date field

Is it possible to have a field on a form automatically display the current date when text is entered in to a textbox?

e.g. When someone types in the 'First Name' box, the 'Date Inputted' textbox populates with the current date.

In the after update event for the First Name text Box

me.datefieldName =Date

 

[SantasLittleHelper]

In the after update event for the First Name text Box

me.datefieldName =Date

So with my example. would it be:

me.DateInputted =Date

or

me.dateDateInputted =Date

This assumes your control is named "DateInputted"
