We have a database which when a query is run should update the system with a timestamp when the yes button is pressed on the query. However it appears to be also updating if the no button is pressed even though the message says the system will not be updated.

any help would be appreciated as to why this is occuring, and how we can stop it.

Excel Facts

Test for Multiple Conditions in IF?
Use AND(test, test, test, test) or OR(test, test, test, ...) as the logical_test argument of IF.
yes button is pressed on the query
Do you just mean the button on an Access popup or is it a form from the database?

the button appears when access is running the query. it is not a button i have created, it comes from the access query.
