You can do this by creating a subroutine that is triggered by an event on the form (a command button click, closing the form, clicking a check box on the form). The VB command you need to use is DoCmd.SendObject. There is an explanation in the help file under SendObject Method.
If you refernce the text box where your text is located in the SendObject statement (or as a defined varible), you can have the text exact text that was entered sent to the manager.
I just did a similar thing last week so I know this works.
