Access 2000 Functions - Left, Right, Trim?

I converted an Access 97 Database to Access 2000. The function in my query reads: CSO: Trim([CBU]) -- I want to eliminate all spaces in a field called CBU - I renamed this field CSO.

I'm also using simple functions like the one above for Left and Right.

PROBLEM: I cannot execute the query - constant error msg states I am using an 'undefined function'. I've tried building it from scratch & am getting the same message.

Any ideas? Thank you for your help.

Excel Facts

Return population for a City
If you have a list of cities in A2:A100, use Data, Geography. Then =A2.Population and copy down.
All 3 functions work in Access 2k. I suggest adding your calculated fields one at a time and seeing which triggers the error.
