Why is it that I set the default value for the date field in my table that when I import my information from excell it does not populate for all the records? As it stands now, the last cell in the field has the date?

Save Often
If you start asking yourself if now is a good time to save your Excel workbook, the answer is Yes
Because the default value works when you add a new record, not when importing values from Excel. I'll bet that the "last cell" is a new record, and not part of your actual table...

If you want to put the same date in every record, I suggest running an Update Query. Let us know if you need help doing that.

Yes it is the last reecord and is not part of the import. I will try your suggestion. I do know how to do update queries.
