Hi All,

A general question. I use this forum a great deal for Excel related queries and it's a really good way to share knowledge.

I want to launch a forum for my work (Not Excel Related) but I really think as a forum this format works very well.

Can anyone offer advice as to how I can replicate this forum's format without having to spend large amounts of money?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Jay3:biggrin:

Do you know whether or not you have SharePoint Collaboration at your work? You can set-up a forum through that.

I use DotNetNuke for my customer support portal. It's basically just a module for the DNN projects list that I only allow paying customers access to (not for general questions though, used for keeping discussions on larger projects). That works well but it isn't quite as fancy pancy as phpBB or SharePoint.

I'm 90% certain this is a pretty straight forward phpBB install.

We also threw up a mediawiki wiki at work for building a database of solutions, answers and tutorials. It was faster to search and tweak than the forum so the wiki was the solutions (communally edited by whoever) and the forum was for specific questions.
