About the MVP

Are the users with the MVP ranges/badges legitimate Microsoft Valuable Professionals on this forum Has this forum helped them become MVPs through nomination http://blogs.msdn.com/b/mssmallbiz/...ft-mvp-nominate-a-microsoft-mvp-and-more.aspx?

Some of the MrExcel MVPs on this forum are also Microsoft Valuable Professionals, but not all. It is not a requirement. There is no "relationship" between the two.

I don't know how much being a MrExcel MVP helps with becoming a Microsoft Valuable Professional (I am not one myself, so I really can't speak to that). But it certainly can't hurt.

A MrExcel MVP may propose a member to be made MVP and a vote of MVPs is then held.
