Hi
I'm using the following formula alot in a workbook:

A2 = UK!A2

A3 = USA!A3

etc, etc

It's not the best as i have to ether physically type it, or go to the relevant sheet and link it.

I have a list on countries which correspond to the tab names so can I use something like the following instead?

A2 = (Cell reference)!A2

Thanks

Andy

When did Power Query debut in Excel?
Although it was an add-in in Excel 2010 & Excel 2013, Power Query became a part of Excel in 2016, in Data, Get & Transform Data.
You can use the INDIRECT function ( which is volatile) or the INDEX function

Thats a dangerous way to run a spreadsheet. I presume you never delete rows? You would get all sorts of problems. Anyway this will give you whatever is in cell A1 of the sheet name typed in A2:

=INDIRECT("'"&A2&"'!A1")
