A fast intro for using Excel Jeanie Html with the Forum Standard button.
For using in Forums / Messageboards

For general understanding:
To desplay your table nicely in a forum / messageboard, it has to be translated into a language the board will understand.
This is html - and the board must support html - which good boards will do.
Excel Jeanie Html will do that for you and with to clicks you have the html in the clipboard, ready to paste it anywhere you like.
Create something like this in Excel:

ABC112324Super6

Now select the range A1:C2

Choose EJH4e -> Excel Jeanie Html or the icon from the iconbar.:

I can't find this Excel Jeanie on either the forum or in Excel. I don't even know which one it's supposed to be in.

Where do I find it ?

Re: More on a simple question again

OK I downloaded it and still can't work it out

Re: More on a simple question again

Which version of Excel are you using?

Based on that, were you able to follow the steps in the relevant link above? That is, either
Activating till E 2003
or
Activating E 2007?

More on an unsimple question

OK I downloaded Excel Jeanie.

I've copied the required cells into it which has come up as an object that won't copy and patse into the forum.

I can't find any of these buttons that are mentioned in the information I was sent.

Where exactly are these buttons in this duplicate Excel Jeanie file ?

Re: More on an unsimple question

Firstly, please don't start a new thread for a continuation of the same issue. I have therefore merged you three threads about this. Just 'Reply' to your own thread if you want to post follow-up information/questions.

You still haven't said what version of Excel you are using, but see if this helps.

To use Excel jeanie, you do not paste anything into it. Try the following in the Test Here forum (it will not work in this forum).

1. Take a sheet with a small amount of data/formulas, only need a few cells to test.

2. In your sheet, select the cells you want in your display.

3. Click the first icon in the Excel jeanie toolbar (its location can vary depending on your Excel version, which is why I was asking)

4. Click the 'Forum Standard' button on the 'Forum' tab of Excel jeanie. That places code on your Clipboard.

5. Move to your MrExcel forum post and Paste. You should see some HTML code appear and when you Submit your post, your screen shoy should appear.

Edit: BTW, welcome to the MrExcel board!
