I have frozen panes and hidden rows using Excel 2003. When I open the .xls file in Excel 2007, the freezing of pane and hiding of rows is ignored. Is there an incompatiblity in the way these states are saved in the two versions?

Excel Facts

What is the last column in Excel?
Excel columns run from A to Z, AA to AZ, AAA to XFD. The last column is XFD.
clilck "view ribbon" and choose "window" section. freeze section is there. there are three alternatives.

Thanks. I know how to hide rows and freeze panes in both versions of Excel. The problem arises with a Workbook in shared mode, some users on 2003, some on 2007. For those on 2007, the hiding and freezing is only erratically implemented.</SPAN></SPAN>
