2 Data tables, 1 slicer, 1 pivot chart

Hello! Im new to using power pivot and trying to learn how it works. I have two data tables that are put into powerpivot. They each have the same columns, a common column is "Supervisor". I want one pivot chart with one slicer that filters both tables by Supervisor. The supervisor column has duplicate values. I do know know how table relationships work. Could one slicer be done? Thanks!

Yes! Type 1 in a cell. Hold down Ctrl while you drag the fill handle.
Found a site that helped me with the problem, apperently you need to create a lookup table manually with unique values to link to both tables. I went all the way till the directions tell me to combine "Amounts" field with dax measure, I do not know what the directions mean because I cant see the pictures since they are blocked by my company. If anyone is kind enough to explain those steps in more detail, would be appreciated. Anyway, Here is the useful link Merging data in PowerPivot | Javier Guillén
