Hi Everyone,

First time posting so hopefully this is clear.

I need a formula that can help find and populate an entry when 2 consecutive cells in the same row match 2 other consecutive cells in other columns.

i.e.
Cell A2 = John
Cell B2 = Smith
Cell C2 = Blue

Cell D13 = John
Cell E13 = Smith
Cell F13 =

I need a formula that would allow for "Blue" to be auto-populated in cell F13 for all similar instances.

Hope this makes sense!

Excel Facts

VLOOKUP to Left?
Use =VLOOKUP(A2,CHOOSE({1,2},$Z$1:$Z$99,$Y$1:$Y$99),2,False) to lookup Y values to left of Z values.

Thank you so much for your reply JoeMo. I am getting an error message. Here is what I see when trying to post the formula.

I don't download from the web, but my guess is you confirmed the formula by pressing the Enter key. That won't work because it's an array formula as noted in my post. You must confirm it by pressing ctrl+shift+enter keys together. If you do it correctly, Excel will place enclosing {} brackets around the formula in the formula bar.
